This gives me a lot of confidence. Very excited about it," he tells us. Daniel has a lot to be excited about. How to Use a Tide to Go Pen? It happens to the best of us: you’re out to dinner and you get a drop of tomato sauce on your brand new white shirt, or a similar unfortunate mishap with your food or drink. You attempt to rub at it with a napkin, but it only gets worse, and it will be hours before you’re home to apply stain remover and throw it in the wash. Luckily, there’s an answer to this common problem: the Tide to Go Pen, which is specially formulated to quickly and effectively treat fresh food and drink stains on clothing and designed as a small pen to fit in your pocket or purse for whenever you may need it. Learn how to use this convenient product for effective stain removal. Using the Pen on Stains Test the pen on a hidden portion of fabric. Make sure the fabric of your garment will not react negatively to the solution in a Tide to Go Pen. Before using it on your food or drink stain, test it out on another small area of fabric that is not easily visible on your garment. Remove excess residue from the spill. Gently dab or wipe at a food stain that has any excess matter, like a thick sauce or crumbly food item. Take care not to spread the stain any wider than it already is while doing so. Depress the tip of the pen to release solution. Uncap the pen and press the tip onto the area of fabric where your stain is located, until enough solution comes out to cover the area of your stain. Rub the dispersed solution into the stain. After pressing the tip down to release solution, rub gently with the pen tip across the area of the stain. The microfiber cloth tip helps to absorb and pick up the stain that the solution pulls out. Rub until you see the stain begin to lighten or disappear altogether. Make sure you are getting solution and rubbing with the tip over all areas of the stain. Add more solution if necessary by depressing the tip again. Each part of the stained fabric should be lightly saturated with solution before rubbing. Wait and reapply as necessary. Wait several minutes for the fabric to dry to determine the success of the stain removal. Repeat the process of releasing the solution and rubbing with the pen tip if the stain is still very visible. Blot the fabric dry when finished. Blot away any excess solution once you’ve treated the stain with the Tide to Go Pen. You can also let it air dry until you can take the garment off and clean it further. Cleaning Your Garment Afterwards Treat the stain further if needed. Use another pre-treatment stain remover product at home if you find that the Tide to Go Pen hasn’t effectively removed the stain. Do this as soon as you are able, and before you machine wash or dry clean your garment. Wash according to the care tag instructions. Pay attention to the instructions given on care for your specific garment’s fabric and style. Wash by hand, machine, or dry cleaning as instructed. Dry the garment carefully. Follow the care instructions for your clothing after washing it, taking care not to apply heat from a dryer or iron until the stain is out. Hang, lay flat, or machine dry as instructed. ELSMERE, Ky. (Joe Webb) -- A northern Kentucky food ministry sends an unusual shipment this week to a mission halfway across the world, to Togo. Among the clothes, tools and supplies in their container is a 64-year-old John Deere tractor. It's still a few years off, but I doubt I'll look this good when I'm 64. This 1950 John Deere has been fully restored and is now the prize possession of Togolese missionary, Daniel Kpowbie. "They confirm to me this is just like brand new. This gives me a lot of confidence. Very excited about it," he tells us. Daniel has a lot to be excited about. Wednesday the John Deere will be loaded into a shipping container and off to his native Togo. It will be used to plant rice, peanuts and soybeans on Mawuto's Farm, a mission of northern Kentucky's Master Provisions. The average Togolese farmer can only work 2-5 acres and it's all done by hand. By June, they hope to have the John Deere working 10 acres. Next year, they hope to plant 75 acres. "Amazing! And this thing is going to do what maybe 100 people can't do," Daniel said. Daniel learned to operate and maintain the tractor last month from the men who reconditioned it in Missouri. He will train the Togolese. The farm in Togo is getting a lot more than the John Deere tractor. They're also getting donated accessories including a cultivator, plow and disk. The old tractor is the biggest item in a container load of clothes, bikes and supplies for Togo. It's symbolic of Master Provisions' mission to collect resources and distribute them where they're needed. "We had people in Missouri that reconditioned the tractor and got it running and in tip top shape. People here locally who funded it. An organization in Florida that's paying for the shipment so it's a real multi-state effort to help people across the world," a representative said. Kpowbie says the tractor will mean jobs, food and sustainability in a place where those things are pretty scarce. And a reminder to all that you might not find your highest purpose until you're 64. And you're never too old to serve. Follow Joe Webb on Twitter @joewebbwkrc and LIKE him on Facebook
